Fly to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, the biggest city in all Africa and the Middle East and according to some the biggest one in the world with a population not less than 22 m and with a history more than 1000 years under the name Cairo and  much older settlements under other names.

The Egyptian museum (Cairo museum), inaugurated in 1902, has the biggest collection of Egyptian items in the world, about 120,000 artifacts (some in the storerooms). Some of the most famous collections are the contents of King Tutankhamen tomb and the Royal Mummy Room.

Then our next stop is the Giza pyramids on the Giza plateau where stand 3 great pyramids and the Sphinx: the Great Pyramid of Cheops (2500 B.C.), the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the pyramid of Chephren and the pyramid of Mycerinus. Then you will move down the plateau to visit the Valley temple of king Chephren and the Great Sphinx attributed to the same king.
