Salah eldin(Saladin) built the Citadel(12th century) to protect Cairo against potential crusades but they never made it that far and the citadel became the residence of the ruler till the middle of the 19th century.Inside the great walls of the citadel you will visitthe famous alabaster mosque (19th century), built by Mohammed Ali Pasha who ruled Egypt (1805-1848), it is an exquisite example of Ottoman architecture in Egypt. Then you will have a free tour in Khan el Khalili Bazaars to enjoy the experience of bargaining in an oriental market.

Khan el Khalili Bazaars  in a modern air-conditioned van. Then drive you back to your hotel.
